The Mission
Race the clock solving puzzles, clues and facing challenging activities, your mission could be as a special search & rescue expert, or wildlife ranger battling rogue poachers!

4x4 Motu Trail & Mission
Adventure from pick-up
Jump in one of our 4x4 vehicles from Opotiki, experience the amazing Motu Trails whilst you listen to some incredible yarns about local history, or if you own or have hired a 4x4 skip the yarns and adventure up over the hills, either making your own way or meet us in Opotiki and join the convoy (4x4 vehicle required).
The Mission
You could end up a search and rescue expert, racing to save a missing boy, or a wildlife conservationist, battling rogue poachers to save an endangered animal.
Either way your mission will take you through the amazing NZ native bush, where your group will need to solve puzzles, face challenging activities and solve clues, all while racing the clock.
You have 2 hours to complete your mission!!
Mission, Lunch and Transport provided
Our maximum number for each group is 4 people, however we can accommodate larger or smaller groups, if you are booking for 2 we may pair you with another party (yah more friends to be made).
If you are a larger group (such as a work function) just email us to arrange as we can cater to larger groups by arrangement.
The mission is suitable for children 8+ accompanied by an adult.
Mission & MTB
The Motu Trails offer amazing mountain biking trails, whether you are a novice, an expert or just an explorer of new experiences in beautiful places.

Option 1
Leave your bike in our secure lock-up in Tirohanga (approx marker 8 km), Come get your Mission on and then after lunch get dropped off at your bike and cycle your way back along the dunes trail and back to our carpark or to your accommodation in town.
Take your time and watch the sunset over the sea as you ride your way through the dunes.
Bike Transport to Tirohanga lock-up and day storage - $60 per bike
Option 2
Looking for a bit more adventure, lets bring your Mountain bike with us nice and secure on our 4x4, get your Mission on and then after Lunch we'll drop you and your bike off at the top of the Pakihi where you can take on the 20km downhill, ride back to our carpark or book for us to come get you at the bottom.
Bike transport to top Pakihi - $40 per bike
Collection from Pakihi end - $180 per group (max 4)
Mission & Pakihi Hike
The Pakihi Track is a beautiful 20.7 km downhill walk one way, taking 6-7 hours to complete in total.
Roughly halfway (10km), is the Pakihi Hut, a 6 bunk bed, first come, first served Doc hut - read more here
Book in to come get your Mission on and then after lunch get dropped off at the top of the Pakihi Track, hike the 10km down to the hut, stay the night amongst the birdsong, light the fire, cook a cosy meal and grab yourself a Barry Crump book, what better way to experience life like a true old style NZ bushman (or woman).
The next morning make your way down the rest of the track (approx 10km), on a hot day the Pakihi Stream has some great spots for a refreshing dip. Your bound to be accompanied by Piwakawaka and Miromiro looking to pick up any insects you disturb. Hear the swish of the Kereru wings above and be serenaded by Tui and Korimako on the easy 10km downhill to the end of the Pakihi Track and the start of the Pakihi Road, where we will be there to collect you and transport you back to your car at our carpark.
